I DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE FOR COUPLES THERAPY. 75 min sessions ARE NOT COVERED by insurance companies. I have chosen not to take insurances for several reasons. Insurance companies require a diagnosis and often times, I see clients that do not meet the diagnostic criteria. In addition, insurance companies can restrict the number of sessions, length of sessions, types of therapy and can have access to therapy notes.

As an out of network provider, I can still assist you in billing your insurance company to get full or partial reimbursement. This usually applies to PPO insurance policies only.

I accept cash, check, Venmo and all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards as payment for services. Additionally, you may finance your sessions withm medical loans.

I provide in-person Couples Therapy in Sorrento Valley | San Diego, CA and online across California. Online therapy is provided through a secure online video platform for clients located throughout California.

In online therapy sessions, you will be able to schedule therapy sessions in the comfort of your own environment, without having to travel to the therapist's office. Sessions are held on a HIPPA compliant secure platform. Despite that, there is a chance for breach of confidentiality,

I do not provide online therapy to clients who are suicidal, homicidal, or meet certain diagnostic criteria like psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders or personality disorders. In person therapy is highly recommended.

It is important to know that getting a good internet connection is client's responsibility.

Client may be required to identify a person who can be contacted in case of an emergency.

72 hours in advance, appointments can be rescheduled for free. Cancellations made without 72 hours' notice and late cancellations incur a minimum of $100 late cancellation fee depending on the length of session booked. No shows incur a full session fee.

You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for

therapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to

know in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for

a given person/couple, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services to be provided. Your total

cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your

individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you.

There may be additional items or services I may recommend as part of your care that must

be scheduled or requested separately and are not reflected in this good faith estimate. This

estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the

provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified

here.

You have the right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to

you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (which

means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges).

initiation of the patient-provider dispute resolution process will not adversely affect the

quality of the services furnished to you.

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Many couples begin to see improvements within 8–12 sessions, especially when they practice the tools between sessions. More complex concerns such as betrayal, long-term disconnection, or cultural/family-of-origin challenges may require more time. We’ll decide together what pace feels supportive.
